Journal New Forestry Mechanisation (NFM) deals with a specific field of forestry – forestry engineering, and was originally published under the title “Forestry Mechanization” from the period of the most intense mechanization of forest operations in Croatian forestry (70s and 80s of the last century) with the intention of presenting and promoting development results and applications of new forestry machines and vehicles.
NFM today publishes original research papers, review articles, preliminary notes, professional papers and in this way continues to present results of domestic and foreign scientists as well as forestry experts thus contributing to dissemination of new knowledge in the field of forestry engineering. Paper are published in Croatian or in English language.
The primary objective of the journal is to publish original, novel and high-quality articles and therefore to contribute to the development of scientific activites, research processes, professional actions and other operations in the field of forestry.

The journal is open for publishing empirical, theoretical and methodological papers, and it encompasses all technical, technological, environmental, economic and social issues relevant to forestry and forestry engineering. Some of the topics that are closely related to the journal are, for example:
